Mullet By Choice!
Hailey's hair is always hanging in her eyes. It kind of makes me crazy. She will not leave a bow, a clip, a headband, or even a rubber band in her hair! So, being the experienced hair stylist that I am, I took the scissors (they were "professional" hair cutting scissors) and trimmed her bangs. The minute I was done, I realized I might have needed a little training in hair cutting or better yet, I probably should have just taken her to a salon. So, you know how some babies just naturally have hair that grows in "mullet style" . . . well, Hailey's mullet is on purpose. Luckily (well, hopefully) her hair grows pretty fast!

WICKED!
The first few days of May, I got a wonderful, much needed break and went to L.A. with some friends! We went to the musical WICKED! It was so awesome! I think everyone needs to see WICKED at least once in their lifetime. It was amazing. The trip included a lot and I mean a lot of driving (we were not so good with directions), shopping, the musical and of course a lot of good eating. If you're ever in the L.A. area, you gotta try Pinkberry!

We were at the mall a couple of weeks ago and Sydney said she wanted to get her ears pierced. I decided that since we were there, and while she was so excited about it, I better just get it done. She was so brave! She winced a little when they pierced the first ear. I held her hands tight and they did the second ear! WhaaLaaa! Pierced Ears. So, now Syd has two more holes in her head!
The earrings Syd picked are really cute! She makes sure that anyone who sees her now realizes she has her ears pierced . . . she shows everyone her ears! Sydney is definitely a trend setter (I'm sure some moms are not too excited with me) because now all her little friends are begging to get their ears pierced too!
We Are Parents Of A SEVEN Year Old!
Where does time go? On April 24th, McKay turned 7! He is a good kid. He had a wonderful birthday . . . brownies (his favorite!) with the family and then a hiking party with his friends! Favorite presents: a Transformer Chess set, a remote control truck, and lots of $$!
A Crazy One Year Old!Last but not least, Hailey turned 1 on April 16th! Hard to believe that an entire year has gone by! She is a fun but extremely LOUD little girl! It will be interesting to see her personality shine through as she gets older . . . I think we are in for some exciting times! She had her own cupcake for her birthday, and needless to say, she ate the entire thing!!
This is a typical picture of Hailey - always in her highchair eating. It's crazy how much she likes to eat! I was shocked that when I took her to the doctor this week she only weighed 18 lbs. 6 0z.! You'd think she'd be a lot chubbier the way she eats!!Well, that's it! That's basically been what's up for the last month. It's been fun, crazy and memorable!
