Sydney graduated from preschool. Her class had a program where they presented some of the things they had learned this year. They sang songs, counted by 1's, 5's, and 10's., named the continents, recited the alphabet, etc. . .all the things you'd expect from preschool gradutates. It was fun to see. After their program, they had a swimming party and got to snack on popcorn and lemonade.

Sydney was awarded the "Fastest Worker" preschool award. We're not sure exactly what that means, but knowing Syd and the little social butterfly that she is, we think it probably means she worked very quickly (probably not very neatly) to get done so she could then visit, talk to, or play with her friends!
McKay is all finished with FIRST GRADE! The last week of school was pretty exciting. The entire first grade had a water party at school on Tuesday. For our assignment we filled 60 water balloons and delivered them to his class for the party. McKay said it was a lot of fun. They had several assemblies, cleaned out their desks and classrooms, and ate a lot of Popsicles and treats.
Mrs. Webb has been an amazing teacher. McKay has really enjoyed being in her class. His reading, writing, and math skills have improved by leaps and bounds. McKay got 100% on every spelling test this year. Mrs. Webb awarded him with a free buffet from Golden Coral for getting 100% on all his tests. McKay was also awarded the Radiant Roadrunner award. The students had to accomplish many different things to get this award! WAY TO GO MCKAY!
McKay was pretty happy and proud of himself for receiving the Radiant Roadrunner award. When they called his name at the assembly he ran and skipped excitedly all the way to the stage. It made us all smile and laugh! He's a funny kid!
