Today was the last day of swimming lessons!
All the kids (except McKay - of course) look forward to the last day of swimming lessons because on the last day they get to jump off the diving board and ride down the hydrotube as much as they'd like! Syd has tried the hydrotube and jumped off the diving board several times so she was excited! McKay on the other hand is not quite as brave and has been really nervous to do much of anything at the pool. But today, the miracles of all miracles occurred! McKay's teacher got him to jump off the diving board with a life jacket on and to McKay's surprise and mine, he loved it! McKay jumped and jumped and jumped! Then it was like a flip switched and McKay headed to the hydrotube and went down over and over and over! I couldn't believe it!
Yeah for McKay!!
Sydney passed her level 2 advanced swimming class (which didn't surprise me - she's a little fish!) and will move up to level 3 next time!
McKay missed a couple of classes this time and wasn't quite able to pass level 3. He'll try again next time. I think by the end of summer he'll be swimming, jumping, and hydrotubing without any troubles!
Oh -yea, Syd wanted to let everyone know that she went down the hydrotube all by herself (I wish I would have gotten a picture of her). It takes a lot of bravery to go down unassisted, but she did it! She's pro now. . . That wraps up another year of swimming lessons!!

That really is a miracle! McKay told Colby and I (when we went to get snow cones last week) that he had told his swimming teacher that YOU wouldn't let him jump off the diving board....but then he said you didn't care but he was too scared. HAHAHA
