Last Friday Sydney and I went and got manicures together! It was so fun!
Highlights:
- Waiting our turn for over 30 minutes! (note: I had called ahead and they said I didn't need an appt. because there wasn't a wait - they were WRONG!)
- Syd not understanding a word that she heard from the guy doing her manicure! (Syd looked over at me every time he asked her a question - she wasn't sure what to say!)
- Picking out our nail colors - it took Syd a minute! SOOOO many fun colors to choose from! In the end, her choice was a light pink, SPARKLY color of course!
- Syd asked for flowers on her nails and insisted I do the same thing (which I did!)!
- Syd had to put her hands under some mysterious blue lights for 5 min. She sat there like a champ and smiled the WHOLE time!
- While we were paying for our manicures, the manicure guy dropped an entire bottle of yellow nail polish that shattered and went everywhere! He angrily shouted in a language we weren't familiar with - probably glad I didn't know what he was saying!
- A little snack stop at Pretzel time...and then we were on our way home!
We had so much fun! Thanks to Syd for coming along with me. I would have never done something like that by myself. What an experience! I am sure we'll do it again!

You are an amazing mother with a darling family. It is fun to share your family activities through your blog. Congratulations on making it through the Marathon! You did great.
