Pictures From Kyoto

It is currently Sunday Morning here in Japan and we are in Osaka. Yesterday we went to Kyoto and saw some of the historic sites there.

This is a picture of the Kiyomizu Temple. This was an amazing place with beautifully manicured gardens and many walking paths along the mountain side next to the Temple.

This is a picture of the Rokuon-ji Temple, or the Golden Pavilion. This is a very beautiful building.

This is Nijo Castle. It was built in 1603 and was the home of the Shogun in Kyoto. It is a large, beautiful structure with amazing murals painted on the walls in many of the rooms throughout the castle. It also has a large beautiful garden.

This is me in the garden area at Nijo Castle.

This is a picture of the garden at the Imperial Palace in Kyoto. Kyoto was the capital of Japan for over a thousand years and this palace was the home of the emperor during that time period.

This is a picture of the grand courtyard at the Imperial Palace.

I should have more pictures coming soon.
