We traveled to Santa Barbara during the end of April for Paul to run in his first Ragnar Relay. This was the first Ragnar L.A.. The course was about 180 miles starting in Santa Barbara, running down the coastline, and ending in Dana Point. When Paul and I lived in California, we lived just inland of Dana Point. We spent a lot of time on the beaches there. The race was spectacular. I had never been to Santa Barbara...it was gorgeous. The kids and I followed the team throughout most of the race. Janel and I provided food and cold drinks for the runners at the different exchanges. We had such a good time. Paul did really well and had a great time with the team. Part of the race was cancelled because Ragnar was not able to get the right permits for the runners to run through Malibu, but it worked out okay. Paul's van of runners were only able to run 2 legs of the race instead of 3. They made up for it a little bit by trying to help the rest of their teammates in van 2, by running along side of them and cheering them on during their tough legs. All in all a fantastic little trip. Way to go TEAM CHASQUI!

Awesome! Barry is working on Ragnar with work and was able to spend a weekend with Ragnar New York. I'm hoping to run in Ragnar Boston in Sept. We'll see. So cool that you and Paul are doing that.
