Tri Fun!

This post is "real time" - not a catch up post!
Today Paul completed the St. George Triathlon. Unfortunately, the swim portion was cancelled due to high winds which in turn caused too rough of water to swim in. So instead, the olympic distance triathletes had to RUN - BIKE - RUN (sounds like my kind of race, I could do without the swimming!). Paul did great! He looked good and felt good. His knee hurt a little, but he finished. His time for the triathlon was 2:10 or so. I got to witness a lot of bike crashes, bleeding road wounds, many DQ's for undone helmet straps, some super sweet($$) bikes, spandex shorts on every body shape and size imaginable, and a lot of determined people. Of course, like I was warned, I left planning my own first attempt at a triathlon. Maybe this fall...we'll have to see! Congrats to Paul who trained hard and had a successful first tri!!
